Syrian Refugees: A New Way to Help
On this Giving Tuesday, we are excited to launch a new program of support for Syrian Refugees living in Beirut, Lebanon.
Through partnership with Refugee Relief and other aid organizations in Beirut, the Syrian Refugee Food Voucher program will provide monthly food vouchers to feed Syrian Refugee families forced to flee their homes because of the ongoing violence of the Syrian civil war.
Like many people forcibly displaced from their homes, these families face enormous challenges. Lack of long-term financial resources, difficulty finding legal employment, the societal stigma of being a refugee, and differing political and religious views create barriers making the most basic of needs like food, safe housing, and warm clothing difficult to obtain.
But that’s where you come in. Where we come in together.
The Syrian Refugee Food Voucher program provides qualifying families with a monthly voucher to be used at a designated grocery store in Beirut.
Each voucher costs only $22.00 and enables a family to purchase much needed food items like rice, meat, oil, and sugar.
This Giving Season, our goal is to raise $3,250 to feed 150 families.
You can help. Sponsor a family by donating online today!
Currently in it’s 13th year, the Syrian crises remains the largest displacement crisis in the world, with over 12 million Syrians forcibly displaced in the region. Learn more HERE.
